One of a series of success stories demonstrating how DriveSavers rescued critical data
from damaged hard drives for B2B clients. The case studies were adapted for trade
show hand-outs and featured on the company’s website.
Before they could be brought into DriveSavers state-of-the-art clean room, the drives had to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Damaged components were then replaced. Once they entered the clean room, the engineer created a clone of each drive so that every bit, every byte, every sector would be an exact match on his target drive. With a functionally stable clone he could then use his utilities to reconstruct the drive.
